This document outlines our philosophy and goals for the season.  It outlines the focus for our coaches and also provides important information as to how to coach your team and interact with your parents.

To assist you in planning your practices, we have developed the SYB Drills Book.  It is organized by ten key basketball skills areas.  Many of the drills provide links to videos.

We take the safety of our youth participants seriously and desire to provide a safe environment for all volunteers and participants.  We require our coaches to obtain and submit the following clearances:

1.  PA State Criminal Background Check.  Visit https://epatch.state.pa.us/.  Complete the new record check (volunteer only).

2.  PA Child Abuse Clearance.  Visit  https://www.compassstate.pa.us/cwis/public/home (application purpose - volunteer)

Please submit all clearances to SYB Board Vice President, Terry Erb at t.erb@aol.com.

All volunteers must maintain active clearances for 3 year period.  Volunteer coaches must notify the SYB Board immediately of any issues or changes in your clearance status that would disqualify you from coaching youth.
